Grinnell Handyman Services LLC has been a long-awaited project that is finally becoming a reality. Offering a wide variety of services in Grinnell and the surrounding area. Looking to fulfill almost any and all projects in or around your home or business. From changing a lightbulb to designing and building a dream of yours, no project is out of reach.
Hi, my name is Jayce! Owner and involved in all day-to-day operations! I've never enjoyed doing any one thing for too long and because of that I have a wide variety of skills that I wouldn't otherwise have. Being a handyman is going to be more than just a job for me, it's going to be something I've unknowingly been preparing for most of my life. Starting this company will enable me to be in Grinnell full time with family vs being on the road as a traveling contractor building distribution and transmission powerlines. I still carry a class A CDL and have a crane license. What I was able to take away from the 4-years and 14-states I worked in as a contractor was how to work safely with and around electricity, rigging, equipment operation and climbing. When I had free time, I enjoyed building houses for Habitat for Humanity. I was able to teach groups of people how to do certain things like hang siding or put in windows. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend you volunteer.
Before I started my Line worker career in 2018, I worked construction, programmed and operated CNC milling machines, robotic welders, laser and plasma cutters. Fabrication using stick, MIG, TIG, and flux core welding. Fixed, maintained machines and equipment. Blueprint reading, drafting and CAD software training on the job as well. In high school I took every ACC class I was allowed. Auto Mechanics, woodworking, advanced woodworking, machine shop, welding, home and auto repair, principals of engineering, drafting, CAD, blueprint reeding, and a 2-year John Deere engineering and fabrication program.
In conclusion, I've always enjoyed learning new things and making things work. Seeing a smile on an individual's face and knowing I was a part of that makes it all worth it. I look forward to the projects ahead and friends I'll make along the way.
